Excerpt from Chapter Four of The Number – A Guest Post by Sheenah Freitas

Sheenah Freitas recently took the time out of his busy schedule to share with us Excerpt from Chapter Four of The Number.

Here is an excerpt:

“It was decided that Alona be the one to lead Kaia to the training area. Despite Alona’s slightly annoying personality, she was the only one of the dryads who didn’t elicit anger from the elf. It might have simply been because she was the only dryad who didn’t constantly fret over him like the others, though the others would never have admitted that they had ever done so. They just wanted the best for Lochlain and wished he would choose the perfect woman (they were somehow all perfect candidates).”

In Interview with Amanda Brice

We are honoured to be joined today by Amanda Brice who is sharing with us her journey as a writer.  The interview was a lot of fun and we thank Amanda for joining us and telling all about her adventure so far. Thank you for sharing this Amanda.

Here is an excerpt…

R2R: When did you first start to write?

AB: I wrote my first “book” at age 4, and my first “novel” at age 9. But I stopped when I got to high school and didn’t come back to it until after law school in my late 20s. I’d just finished reading Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez’s *Dirty Girls Social Club* and loved it, so decided toplay around and take a stab at writing a chick lit novel. I actually won the Jasmine Award with the book I started writing that day, but it will never see the light of day. It had a lot of problems — definitely my “learning book.”

4/5 to Paskagankee by Allan Leverone

Stephanie recently read Paskagankee and gave it an incredible 4/5!

“My interest was kept during the entire book. I was able to predict the “person” that killing people, but that didn’t take away from the story for me. Honestly, I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn’t Stephen King. Maybe it was the Maine setting, but Allan Leverone had a very good writing style that almost bled mystery and danger. I am sure I will be reading more from him! 4/5″

Our Review:

Ella recently read A Hero Rising (A New Dawn #3) and gave it a full 5/5!

“I have to say ‘hats off’ to Aubrie Dionne for creating a masterpiece. I cannot find fault to this book. The characterization is deep, the descriptions perfect. Relationships are complex and even secondary plots get enough attention to make the reader stop and listen. I was excited about the fight for survival and moved by the portrayal of the world in ruin. It’s brought home the great truth that people do have choices to make and are indeed masters of their own destinies without being overbearingly philosophical about it. 5/5″

Competition:
