Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts

Review by Kate

After reading a few dystopian novels and really enjoying them I was intreagued with Dark Inside. I have been meaning to read it for a while and I was not let down at all with it.

The first thing that grabbed me about Dark Inside is its very Stephen King feel to it. The storyline was amazing from the word go to the very last page. It kept me reading, not that a book like this would stop me, and I didn’t want to put it down to sleep or do other things.

One of the best things about Dark Inside was the chapters written from “Nothing”. I was kept guessing right until the very last page and last Nothing part on who Nothing was. Was it the voice of many or just one? The last part especially made me think that Daniel was “Nothing”. To be honest though I’m still not sure to this day if that’s the case. This just shows another point of how good this book is.

The way the characters fought through and came together was written brilliantly. I was right there with each of them and on more than one occasion had my heart in my throat and my heartbeat racing not knowing where the next attack was going to come from.

Dark Inside is an amazing book, one that I would recommend to ALL. Although I would say those who don’t like horror maybe read this during the day.

I would give Dark Inside a solid, will read again, 5/5

** On a side note I am thrilled to know that there will be a sequel to this published THIS YEAR **
