Shadowland (The Immortals Book 3) by Alyson Noel

Review by Kate

Much better than Blue Moon but not as good as Evermore.

Shadowland is the third instalment of the Immortals series by Alyson Noel and I was keen to read this not only because I wanted to read more of this amazing series but I wanted it to be better than Blue Moon.

The characters keep getting better. Damen is, in my mind, one of the biggest book crushes people could have. He wants to make amends for his faults in the start of the book and this leads to a decision, which I was almost screaming at the book not to make.

Roman tried as usual to completely mess everything up for Ever and Damen and succeeds to a degree. I am looking forward to finding out how he meets his fate.

Ever is constantly growing as the books progress and I really think she is a wonderful character. She has needs like any other teen does and in my opinion this just adds depth to her character.

I also love the introduction of Jude. The fact that he was Ever’s past boyfriend that Damen steals her away from added extra excitement to this story and I feel that in the future this could really add to the stories.

I love the other characters but I do have to say that if Miles’s trip to Florence is a way of writing him out then he is one character I am going to miss.

I am thoroughly looking forward to reading Dark Flame and learning how Haven adapts to being an Immortal should make for a thoroughly enjoyable read!

I would give Shadowland 4/5
