As a reader, I’m probably like most of y’all. When I like a story, get to know the characters and world in a series, I want to know who’s next. I’m not the person who’ll read excerpts of every upcoming book because I like to be surprised, but I will read the blurbs and search message boards to find out who the next hero and heroine is. So if you’ve read Primal Song, you’re probably wondering the same thing. If you haven’t read it, you should really get on that.

As a writer, I have that thought in the back of my mind that it would be best if the upcoming books were a surprise. Y’all are probably thinking about tarring and feathering me now, huh? Well, despite my author’s brain who wants to make everything out to be a sooper sekret project, I’ll give y’all a heads-up.

Book two in the Cajun Heat series is about Kitty and Monk. Kitty is Daisy’s cousin and best friend and Monk has been Daisy’s nemesis for years. I’d rather not get into the backstory, but Kitty and Monk have a painful history together. They’ll have to work on getting over the past before they can think about having a future.

Because I don’t have contracts signed for anything else (yet), I’ll give vague references to characters who’ll appear in future books. Zach Trahan, who’s mentioned in the first two books, seems to be the hero pushing hardest for his mate. He’s an impatient tiger and I swear if he snaps at me one more time… Ahem. Sorry. I do know I’ll have a swan shifter, a clouded leopard, a wolf, another bear or two, and possibly a spin off series to this one. Those things are in the distant future, so I don’t have solid character profiles or names yet.

Are y’all disappointed? I hope not. I write as fast as I can and hope to have the third book out by the end of this year, or the beginning of next year. Look for at least four more books in this series (if things go well). Unfortunately I can’t promise anything since the publishing industry has its moments.
