5/5 to Moonlight on the Nantahala by Micheal Rivers #KindleLingRAT

Tacy read Moonlight on the Nantahala as part of the KindleLing Read-A-Thon 2013 and gave it a full 5/5!

“Michael Rivers does an extraordinary job with his modern fiction Moonlight on the Nantahala. It is evocative and it captures so thoroughly the spirit of this part of the Appalachians that I found it easy to picture the setting the around me. I may have an advantage some readers don’t have; I am from outside of Asheville and so the areas Rivers speaks of are in my proverbial expanded back yard. In fact, this is part of what drew me to the book, but it was the storyline that made me stay. 5/5″

3/5 to Spectral by Shannon Duffy #KindleLingRAT

Renee read Spectral as part of the KindleLing Read-A-Thon 2013 and gave it an impressive 3/5!

“The pace picks up in the second half of the book and the story really starts moving. The reader discovers why Jewel is being hunted and what she’s capable of. Family secrets are revealed, and though I expected some of the information, I was still pleasantly surprised. Even the love triangle’s resolution was predictable, but I wasn’t disappointed in the outcome. Spectral overall was an enjoyable read. 3/5″

3/5 to Rebirth by Debbie Brown #KindleLingRAT

Renee read Rebirth as part of the KindleLing Read-A-Thon 2013 and gave it an impressive 3/5!

“I loved the premise of Rebirth and the message it delivered. Middle graders and younger teenagers will enjoy this story. However, I think older teens and some adults will find the story a bit slow, a little preachy and not as gripping as other novels. Is this a bad thing? Absolutely not…which is why I recommend Rebirth to anyone looking for a story filled with adventure and meaning. 3/5″

5/5 to The Athena Effect (The Athena Effect #1) By Derrolyn Anderson #KindleLingRAT

Iris read The Athena Effect (The Athena Effect #1) as part of the KindleLing Read-A-Thon 2013 and gave it a full 5/5!

“It is also worth adding that Athena Effect is not purely a romance book with no base and a shallow plot. It has a background story which may also appeal to fans of science fiction. This book is no doubt a promising read which will surely make the readers brimming with anticipation for its second installment as they revisit this book again and again. 5/5″

4/5 to Pointe of No Return (Dani Spevak Mystery #2) by Amanda Brice #KindleLingRAT

Tammy read Pointe of No Return (Dani Spevak Mystery #2) as part of the KindleLing Read-A-Thon 2013 and gave it a amazing 4/5!

“Amanda Brice brings all her characters to life! Pointe of No Return lets you see the background feelins of the “bunheads” as they try for roles in the Nutcracker. Yes, it’s the classic teen angst, love, and rivalry, but with a very interesting twist! Reading this was a great reminder of growing up reading Nancy Drew Mysteries. 4/5″

“I have to say this is one of the best-written books I’ve read lately. The writing is so descriptive and poetic it had me in tears at several points. Read on my Kindle Fire, I highlighted huge passages I want to go back and review to see how S. A. Hunter came up with such exquisite wording. 5/5″
