We are honoured to be joined today by Tonya Macalino who is sharing with us her journey as a writer. The interview was a lot of fun and we thank Tonya for joining us and telling all about her adventure so far. Thank you for sharing this Tonya.
Here is an excerpt…
“R2R: What was your inspiration for Spectre Of Intention?
TM: SPECTRE OF INTENTION was born from a daydream: a powerful, confident woman is walking through a hotel corridor and there THEY are. She turns to walk away, hoping they won’t recognize her. But they continue to follow, so she fast talks her way into one of the rooms for the chance to use a phone to call security. One step into the room and time comes to a stop. His eyes meet hers and her entire existence is undone. She wants him. He wants her. She has to get away. He’ll never let her get away again.
Elements of that daydream remained in the final copy even as the plot and characters evolved around it. The hotel became a space elevator platform. The reasons Kaitlin had to hide from Stephan became more personal, more powerful, more bloody. Stephan became less corporate, more intense; their meeting less accidental and more by his design.
Then Cam entered the story, seducing Kaitlin with the chance for a better life, unfettered by fear and shame. A new, very dangerous choice. And the fallout became even greater than Kaitlin imagined.”

Kate recently read Abandon and gave it an incredible 4.5/5!
“I feel that the pacing apart from the end was well set, the places were entirely believable and I really felt like I was part of what was going on. This is a MUST for any PNR fan. I also think that all readers of Meg’s previous work will enjoy this book. For me let the countdown to book two begin! 4.5/5″

Kaitlin recently read The Moon and the Tide and gave it an incredible 4/5!
“The story picks up with a blessed out Marina enjoying her new boyfriend and friends. It brought up some stuff repeatedly to the point of annoyance. However, more questions get posed that lead the reader in different directions before showing them the right way in the end. I really love mermaids and the ocean so these books are great to me. 4/5″

Jennifer recently read Broken Angel and gave it a full 5/5!
“I can’t say more without giving away too much detail within the book, but I will say, Broken Angel is a must read for anyone. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the rest in the series. I want to find out what happens in the next. Seriously, I loved this book from start to finish. So much so that I need to give it 5/5 stars! 5/5″

Sara recently read Blind Travellers’s Blues and gave it an impressive 3.5/5!
“The mystery is engrossing, and the character of Douglas Abledon likeable and engaging. I wanted to know what happened to Professor Cordelia, and that kept me reading. 3.5/5″

Tess recently read Between Seasons and gave it an incredible 4/5!
“I loved the start of Between Seasons. Patrick is a fully formed character, and even though events are, by their very nature, restricted to the four walls of his home things never get dull. Patrick is a likable character you feel you would get along with if only he wasn’t quite so dead. Sara too is a sympathetic personality, a little ditzy, a little damaged, and the blossoming of the love Patrick feels for her is well handled, feeling natural. 4/5″

Ella recently read Bonded With Love and gave it 2/5!
“Bonded With Love is your typical vampire novel in many ways. It is full of blood, angst, temper and bad communication skills. A classic. 2/5″

Kaitlin recently read The Fate of the Muse and it an impressive 3.5/5!
“The one thing I really like about this series is that the reader really doesn’t know who is going to be good or evil. She does a great job at making some characters look like they will be bad before they end up being good. 3.5/5″
