We are really honoured to be joined today by Katee Robert for today’s BBTS (Bewitching Book Tour Saturdays). Katee took time out of her busy schedule to share with us his unique version of a playlist. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Here is an excerpt from the guest post:
“Most writers have a process of some sort for while they’re drafting a book. Some need perfect silence and others have specific playlists they use for inspiration. Personally, I fall somewhere in between. While I don’t need complete silence (if I did, nothing would get done), I’m pretty picky about my music. What worked for one book rarely works for the next.
In the last few months, my process has taken an unexpected turn. Instead of music in the background, I’ve been writing with horror movies.”

We are really honoured to be joined today by Rob Tobin for today’s BBTS (Bewitching Book Tour Saturdays). Rob took time out of his busy schedule to share with us his opinions on the differences betwen writing novels and screenplays. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Here is an excerpt from the guest post:
“Being primarily a screenwriter, I’m often asked what the difference is between writing novels and screenplays. There are all the obvious differences, of course, such as: length; the emphasis on dialogue, action and visuals in screenplays as opposed to narrative and voice in novels; and the ability to be much looser in story structure with novels, even stream of consciousness, which rarely works on the big screen.
One thing that is similar between the two forms, though, is the importance of character. Whether that character is described in narrative as in a novel, or shown in action as on the big screen (or little screen for that matter), the point is to create a character through whose eyes we watch the story unfold, and through whose mind we experience that story first-hand.”

With thanks to the awesome team at Philia Book Tours we were able to get a brilliant guest post from P.L. Blair. She shares with us an insight to her books, we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
Here is an excerpt:
“My publisher and I have a slight difference of opinion regarding description of my books.
I think of them as fantasy with an element of police procedural.
She considers them detective fiction with an element of fantasy.
“Agatha Christie meets JRR Tolkien” is how the Portals series has been described.”

It is my pleasure to be joined by the wonderful Stephen B. Pearl in the spotlight today.
Here is an excerpt:
A bit of information about your background and how you got into writing
Well, let’s see, my background. I’m Scottish, Irish, French, German, Jewish, Mick Mack and probably Muskrat if you look hard enough. In other words, a typical Canadian. I was born in Southern Ontario where I’ve spent most of my life, though I’ve traveled through much of Canada and the United States and a good bit of England. I met my wife, who was born and raised in Bakewell, Derbyshire England, while we were going to Brock University. This beautiful, intelligent, kind, generous, tolerant, Oh heck, I’ve sucked up enough. She maintains my website. Seriously, I got a good one.

We are honoured to be joined today by Louann Carroll who is sharing with us the background of her novel Gemini Rising. The interview was a lot of fun and we thank Louann for joining us and telling her about her adventure as a writer. Thank you for sharing this Louann.
Here is an excerpt…
“R2R: When did you first start to write?
LC: I started writing in the second grade. You see, there was this boy. He had everything—from freckles—to marbles. How could I not fall in love? I followed him around, smacking him with my coat, then ducking into the girl’s bathroom. When that didn’t work, I tried poetry. Eventually, I gave up. It was my first case of unrequited love. Funny, I don’t even remember his name.”

Today with Bewitching Book Tours it is my pleasure to be joined by the wonderful Stephanie Nelson. We also have a media kit for her amazing Deceived which you can check out HERE!
Here is an excerpt:
“I was never much of a reader growing up. I found the paranormal romance genre about five years ago and fell in love. Since then I’ve read anything in the category I could get my hands on, and eventually that addiction grew into something more. I wanted to create my own story. I began typing every day, playing with ideas and scraping them to start another. Eventually I found my story and stuck with it. I was invited into a writers group on Facebook where I learned a lot! I never know how my books will end. I don’t plot and plan my stories because I find they flow better if I allow the characters to guide me.“

Jessika recently read The Dragon Saga: Legend of the Oceina Dragon and gave it an amazing 4/5!
“ Darien’s character was consistent from beginning to end and I really appreciated that. I often found myself saying, “I want one!” whenever he spoke to Tai. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, he was nothing short of…dreamy, all the way through the piece. If ever there were a perfect man, or perfect men if you counted his brothers, they would be it. 4/5″

Who knew kissing a corpse would change everything?
Death always hits Xylia Morana too close to home, but she likes it that way. She hangs out with the terminally ill, attends random funerals, and every so often, when the weather is right, she sleeps in open graves.
But after Landon Phoenix, the high school hottie, dies in Xylia’s arms, she sneaks into the morgue to say goodbye. How could she know stealing a kiss from his corpse would wake him up?
With Landon returned to the living and suddenly interested in Xylia, life has new meaning. But what Xylia doesn’t realize is that by kissing Landon back to life, she’s thrown Life and Death off balance. The underworld demands a body, and it might just have to be Xylia’s this time.
