BBTT 31st January: Even a Heroine Needs a Best Friend – A Guest Post by Avery Flynn

We are really honoured to be joined today by Avery Flynn for today’s BBTT (Bewitching Book Tour Tuesdays). Avery took time out of her busy schedule to put together an amazing guest post about friendships in novels. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Here is an extract from the guest post:

“Like many authors, I write what I love to read. In my case that means fast-paced, steamy tales of suspense with a big dash of humor featuring a strong heroine who has friends. Not just the cardboard type of friends whose only purpose is to act as a sounding board for the heroine, but someone who is a significant part of the heroine’s life.

Beth Martinez, the heroine in A Dry Creek Bed, and Claire Layton have been best friends since were in the same Girl Scout troop in second grade. Where Beth is tall, cautious and hiding some deep family hurts, Claire is petite, impulsive and spends her time shocking her crazy family. While they may be different in many ways, they are alike in what matters – their devotion to each other.”
